We are seeking a Part-Time Filipino Language (Tagalog) Tutor to teach non-Filipino speaking adults the Tagalog language. The tutor will provide personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions to help client master the language. The position requires a commitment of 1 hour and 30 minutes every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for 3 months.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver quality Tagalog language lessons that cater to the needs of the client
- Monitor and assess client’s progress to ensure effective learning
- Provide regular feedback and constructive criticism to client
- Create a comfortable and engaging learning environment
- Use innovative and creative teaching methods to make learning fun and effective
- Develop and maintain a good relationship with client
- Ensure that all sessions are well-prepared, organized, and executed effectively
Requirements:
- Must be a native speaker of Tagalog or fluent in the language
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
- Experience teaching Tagalog to non-Filipino speakers is preferred
- A degree or certification in education or a related field is preferred but not required
- Passionate about teaching and sharing knowledge
- Patient and empathetic
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Must have access to a reliable computer and internet connection
