The opportunity
We currently have a great Fixed Term Two Year Full Time opportunity for a Project Officer – Grade 8 to join our Regional Project Delivery team working on The Coffs Harbour bypass. This position will lean on your demonstrated experience in providing a high level support to the development and delivery of road maintenance and construction projects. This position is a site-based role will be based out of our Coffs Harbour bypass project.
What you will be involved in:
- Provide a range of office management, project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans, to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope, in line with established agency project management methodology
- Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to ensure accessibility of quality information and contribute to the achievement of project outcomes
- Communicate with key stakeholders to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans
- Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables.
- Monitor and report on the utilisation of the Project Office’s commitments/expenditures.

About you
- We are looking for a high-level thinker with excellent communication skills both oral and written, who is proactive, with the ability to manage multiple tasks with constantly changing priorities. You will be well organised with the ability to work autonomously.
- You have relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in planning and project management
- You have demonstrated knowledge and experience in project management and contract management.
- You have demonstrated research and data analysis skills and the capacity to present information and data in a logical and coherent manner.
- You have the ability to work collaboratively and use your excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills to proactively build strong relationships with an array of internal and external stakeholders.
Salary and Benefits
The salary for this position is Award Grade 8 $106,817.00 - $114,624.00 + Super
