As a Barclays Senior Web Developer (VP level), you'll build new components for a Regulatory Risk Reporting application across multiple business lines, whilst working on business deliverable projects in the Intraday Risk and Profit and loss space and focusing on investment banking business and regulatory requirements. In the RFT Tech, Credit and Equities Team, you'll also work on credit and equity specific applications and business deliveries of valuation platform to support Credit Risk and Profit and Loss valuations, reporting and trader tools.

What will you be doing?

  • Interacting with COO, PMO office, Risk Managers, Quants, and Trading to collect functional requirements and perform analysis
  • Leading overall application architecture and design in developing a modern web UI with in-house framework
  • Performing functional and technical design and data modelling based on user requirements, and providing effort estimation and detailed project plans
  • Designing/developing of important service layer, integrating with back-end service components, and evaluating new technologies in the Market and conduct technical POC
  • Building/testing the approved design and creation of release notes for implementation into production in accordance with the agile best practices
  • Working with Run-the-bank organization and perform user training, documentation, and production support for live systems
  • Designing components of application, must perform training and support, and lead various small project teams globally for project plan execution

What we're looking for:

  • Solid full-stack web application development
  • Working with Angular Frameworks (Angular 5+) and Typescript, including experience on Angular testing frameworks such as Jasmine and Karma
  • Delivering solutions within a DevOps environment with a relentless focus on automation of testing and deployment via TeamCity and similar tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field, financial background is preferred

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Experience with ASP.Net via C# and Angular via Typescript
  • In depth knowledge of multi-threaded, high throughput, low-latency design of C# Web API service components.
  • Financial industry experience, knowledge of Derivatives products.
  • Knowledge of Messaging such as web sockets (with cross-origin policy), Solace, TIBCO EMS and Kafka
