As MuleSoft Sr Developer, you will become a part of Alcon Digital Technology and Data IT team. Your primary responsibilities include design & architect Alcon MuleSoft internal and external integrations, conduct in depth code reviews, provide solutions to optimize MuleSoft vCore utilitzation and guide & mentor Alcon MuleSoft junior staff at various service centers. Also you will ensure industry standard security and coding standards followed by MuleSoft developers. Apart from that you will be closely collaborating with business and IT stake holders to deliver quality solutions.
How you will make a difference:
- Must have experience in Design & build APIs, development of Flow processes, Handling Errors, data transformation and other MuleSoft development good practices using MuleSoft Any Point Studio.
- Ensure that solutions meet requirements outlined in the design documentation
- Perform all work to agreed time, cost and quality constraints
- Ensure that developed solutions are peer reviewed and formally documented
- Unit test solutions (Munit) to ensure they meet quality standards
- IT professional delivering technical expertise in support of Mulesoft API/ESB application
- Development of integrations and APIs using enterprise integration patterns and frameworks
- Design and deliver API integration solutions with internal and external systems including Salesforce, SAP, Work Day and other legacy and cloud-based solutions
- Designing and developing APIs from specification to implementation in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform RAML for third party consumption.
- Provide technical design and guide junior developers to build MuleSoft APIs/applications
- Strong experience setting up and working with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Proficient with all webservice protocols such as REST/SOAP
- Strong use of source code repositories (git, BitBucket)
- Experience with agile development practices such as Scrum/Kanban
- Understand and implement secure credential management options and proper encryption practices both in motion and at rest.
- Ensure quality through unit and functional test implementation and execution.
- Participate in and contribute to all phases of the SDLC, including working with DevOps teams to develop end-to-end testing of the solutions and ensure proper monitoring and alerting of the solution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with technical/non-technical stakeholders to gather and understand the requirements
- Control integration quality and develop ways to detect and correct anomalies with data exchange
- Work with Business Analysts/Project Managerr and other stakeholders to understand requirements and help the team establish a technical approach to delivering features that is in line with architectural norms and best practice
- Ensuring compliance to applicable standards ( e.g. ICE, IGM, SOX, other regional and local as appropriate )

Skills for success:
- MuleSoft developer/architect certifications are desirable
- 6+ years of system Integrations (APIs & MicroService) experience with more than 4+ years in MuleSoft or related API technologies
- Ability to design solution with the mix of legacy (on-prem) and modern cloud-based architectures
- Able to guide other IT teams to use MuleSoft as a platform and establish coding/security guidelines along with industry best MuleSoft implementation practices
- Use Agile methodologies or Traditional project management skills to ensure successful and high speed implementations of Trading Partners.
- Experience integrating SAP PI/PO, SalesForce, WorkDay and Cloud hosted SAAS applications will be advantageous
- Setting up of various communication protocols (SFTP/FTPS and AS2) in MuleSoft cloudhub will be helpful.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT Technology or related IT field
- Proficiency in English
