The impact you will have
Based in Amsterdam and reporting to the Head of Travel Underwriting Benelux, Ireland, Italy, MEA, Nordics and UK, you will be in charge of supporting and building the Underwriter strategy for the travel business in the Netherlands. Clients we work with include ING, Ticketmaster, AON, KLM/Air France, TUI and B2C. Working with the International Centres of Competence that involves branches like banking, airlines, brokers and tour operators, you will use your knowledge to support other regions on a project basis as well.
Your responsibilities could include
- Safeguard the future profitability of Travel Underwriting
- Partner with Sales colleagues to deliver profitable growth targets
- Provide top quality analysis of existing scheme performances
- Ensure proposals to improve accounts not performing to target
- Coordinate the co-insurers, re-insurers, and other Travel line of business specific providers
- Represent Underwriting Travel within Allianz Partners, and externally to the market
- Support global and European topics, including the sharing of knowledge and implementing "best practice" processes
- As senior you will have to option to coach new team members members

What you'll bring to the role
- 5+ years of experience underwriting profitable insurances for corporate clients, also regarding pricing and quotations
- Expertise in insurance assessment and a firm understanding of the policy administration life cycle
- Commercial flair
- Focus on data analysis and data manipulation of Insurance- or Travel market
- You are comfortable working with Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) and Microstrategy/PowerBI
- Open cultural mindset to work with colleagues in Europe specifically and all over the world generally
- Fluent Dutch and English language skills

- Salary: €5000 - €6000 gross p.m. based on 38h workweek
